DRRA Struggling to Find Sponsor for Gold Cup

Detroit PitsHave $1000 and want to donate to a good cause? The Detroit River Regatta Association would like to talk to you. The DRRA runs the APBA Gold Cup on the Detroit River each summer. With the economic times hurting most of us these days, the DRRA is no different. Chrysler Jeep Superstores will not sponsor the race this year and the folks at the DRRA are in search of sponsors. This is where you can help to keep the Gold Cup race on the schedule in 2010.

Go3 Racing Team Wins Award

ed_sam_u39The Go3 Racing Team won the  "Fan Favorite Award" at Saturday night's H1 Unlimited Awards Banquet in Las Vegas.

Owner Ed Cooper was at the event and accepted on behalf of the entire Go3 Racing Team.  It's quite an honor to be voted by the fans of the sport as their favorite. Without the fans, Unlimited hydroplane racing would not be the event we have today.

A special thanks to our fans of the Big Red Turbinator. You are a special bunch and we love hearing from you---via email and at the race sites around the country.  It's a great thrill to race with that Allison V-12 engine and keep alive the Thunder in the sport.

Looking forward to seeing each of year this year on the H1 Unlimited circuit. Stop by and say hello. Thanks again for the award!
