Dean2.JPGWhile you were sleeping in the early morning hours of Wednesday, the Go3 Racing Team hit the road on the way to Tri Cities, WA. The needed repairs have been completed, the truck is loaded, and the boat is hitched. Ed Cooper and Bill Fritz are headed west and will share driving duties for the 2000 mile journey. The team should arrive in the Neil F. Lampson pits in Tri Cities in plenty of time for qualifications Friday on the Columbia River. The course opens at 8am (PDT) on Friday for testing, while the 1st round of qualifying is tentatively scheduled for 11:00am (PDT). Preparation for the Lamb Weston Columbia Cup continues at the Go3 Racing Team shop in Posey County. After suffering more engine problems at the Gold Cup in Detroit nearly 2 weeks ago, Ed Cooper and his team have been hard at work in hopes of racing in the Tri Cities this weekend.

If you didn't stop to look, you probably thought it was a driver of one of the Unlimited hydroplanes signing autographs. You would be wrong. "The Button Man" has graced the streets along the riverfront passing out his hydroplane buttons.
